The Ferroxyl test kit is used for the detection of free iron contamination as outlined in ASTM A380-13, section 7.3.4 & ASTM A967-13 Practice E. If contamination is detected, then a removal procedure is carried out otherwise the natural corrosion resistance and passivation of the stainless is affected. For use by trained personnel only. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Not recommended for surfaces used in medical, pharmaceutical or food preparation activities. A neutralising solution and instructions are supplied in the kit.
